Never give up, never surrender (on your dreams)!

I thought I would make this editorial due to the times.

It can seem that in this age where they are shoving AI technologies down our throats meant to make us redundant and obsolete that trying to do anything creative is a meaningless exercise that will only end in failure and heartache. But I believe that the times being what they are make being creative more important and vital to society.

They want these technologies, not us! AI as it is now is worthless as an endeavor-it gives bad answers, soaks water like a sponge and uses more energy than the sun. But those in power do not want to hear us, but to make us feel voiceless, to make us weak and dependent on them. Nothing can be more sadistic than a person who wants to make you live on your knees.

But I am not here to wax about the tyrants above, dear friends. I am here to give hope, and hope comes with some truths to it, namely:

JRR Tolkien didn’t write the Hobbit till he was 45.

Bram Stoker wrote Dracula at age 50.

Mark Twain didn’t write Huckleberry Finn till he was 49.

Jack Kirby (the man Stan Lee got his best characters from) made Marvel what it was when he was in his 40s, then did the same at DC ( lhe got royally screwed by both companies in terms of licensing for the characters he made but his legacy remains).

The point of all this is it is never too late. Never too late to realize your ambitions. Keep going. You will have moments of doubt, you will have moments of failure, you will even have moments where you think of quitting. BUT KEEP GOING. You will realize your worth if you do.

Not that the system will make it easy-between job hunting, chores and upkeep and economic woes you will be challenged by the world within and without. But once again, keep going. And do not feel that just because you haven’t made it with the greats that you have failed, either! There’s no failure in creativity. A work of art is its own reward.

That’s all for today. Till next time, everyone!
