Gaming to dull the unease

My last post was about how afraid I am of the future. I’m sorry about that. I should not use this blog to spread my uneasiness about things. So instead, let’s talk about something EVERYONE loves: video games!!! Yaay!

I have several different systems, old ones, newer ones, handheld ones and console ones. My favorites are the handhelds. I often take my 3DS to the coffee shop and play a bit of Pokémon while I slurp my coffee. I have almost every version of the DS era games but HeartGold and SoulSilver are my go to’s, mostly cause the original Gold and Silver were my intro to the world of Pokémon.

I also have a PS4 (mostly for streaming movies and tv) and a Nintendo Switch that I play when The Old Man is hogging the PlayStation. Those are the systems we use the most. I have retro systems in my room upstairs, mostly for bragging rights, cause I spend most of my time downstairs.

I love collecting rare games for my systems (if they’re affordable) rarest one I have is Conker’s Bad Fur Day for the N64. Got it at a bargain price ($45- thanks to Symbiote Collectibles in West Reading PA!!). Tried playing it and embarrassed to say, I suck at the game! At least there’s still Pokémon…

That’s all for now. Do any of you collect game systems like me? What are your favorite games to play? Let me know in the comments below! Till next time!
