My Old Friend

He sits in my room

A welcome sight in the morning

The last in the night

Together since youth

And old in the tooth

With fluff missing

And a chewed up bod

It may seem odd

But that don’t mean a thing

Used to hold him by his fuzzy wing

There is no better childhood friend

That endears the heart like a stuffed animal in the end
